National Park Service ~ New Orleans, LA ~ 6,840 SF ~ $6,145,000

ST JOHN Principal Ed Setzler served as the AE Project Director throughout master planning, value-based decision making, and schematic design for the rehabilitation of a previously underutilized National Park Service historic brick facility on Decatur Street in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter.  The AE design carefully preserved historic fabric while transforming the 1882 warehouse and interior courtyard into a living history center that interprets late 19th Century French Quarter culture and early 20th Century New Orleans Jazz through live performances and rich, period-specific architecture.
